CAP/CIPA Exam
CAP/CIPA Exam
MINSK - October 26, 2006. The Belarus Economic Education Project (BEEP) funded by USAID conducted examinations under the first-ever Russian language internationally-recognized certification program available for Belarusian accountants and auditors from the private and public sectors.  As a result, over 600 participants passed the CAP/CIPA exams in Belarus, with a rather high pass rate.

USAID sponsored the CAP/CIPA (Certified Accounting Practitioner/Certified International Professional Accountant) exams as part of a training program that is being implemented under the BIZPRO project by Development Alternatives, Inc.  in coordination with the Institute of Privatization and Management in Minsk.  About 910 professionals, predominantly representing the private sector, have been trained in financial accounting, managerial accounting, tax and law, 817 people took exams; and 606 people passed CAP/CIPA exams to-date.  In addition, 130 people were trained as trainers to ensure further information and knowledge dissemination.
